What we do?

"Payilagam" which roughly translates to "house of learning" in English, is to identify and help individual students with scholarship support for school or higher education. We choose deserving students through referrals within the team and extended connections. We are supporting students from "Little Angels Nursery & Primary School" in Chennai, year on year from 2014.

We identify schools in remote areas and help build their infrastructure such as library, laboratories, toilets etc. We have been able to set up 2 laboratories and 2 libraries for 3 Government schools in Thanjavur. We are also supporting a primary school in Redipatty in Salem to help it transform to a model school which has been almost in the verge of closing down. The school currently caters to many remote villages enabling education to the most under privileged students

We focus on life skills that are taught in schools but develop children into confident individuals. We have started by developing a curriculum for financial literacy and hope for career coaching and also to involve children in sports, martial arts etc.
